Fender Stratocaster History

The Fender Stratocaster Guitars was invented in 1954 by Leo Fender and others in California. At that time Leo was an established successful electric guitarist.

Fender Stratocaster Body

The Stratocaster, or Strat as it is sometimes called, is a double cutaway guitar. A cut is bleeding or scallops in the body of the guitar where the neck joins the body. Since the Stratocaster is a double cutaway, is has a cutaway above and below the neck, where in connect with the body. This section provides space for the hand of the guitar player to do when you play the notes “high” in the neck. By having a double thumb cut a player can grip the neck, while over the other fingers play in the lower court. The body of the Stratocaster is smooth, rounded, flowing curves. Fender design called a “Comfort Contour Body".

The Stratocaster is a one-piece maple neck with twenty frets. Later, a jury freight rosewood was used. Today the house is available in models of key maple and rosewood.

Fender Stratocaster Bridge

Fender used a set of springs on the bridge that allows you to float with the power cords. Connecting a trestle bridge can move up or down to increase or decrease the pitch you play. Some players do not care about this feature of the Stratocaster and off, but nevertheless it was an innovative design.

The Stratocaster has three single-coil pickups, instead of the double coil humbucker “pills are found in some other guitars such as Gibson. The pickup near the bridge is mounted in a tilted position. Fender prospered. The future looks bright. And there are now many models of Fender American Standard Stratocasters available in different price ranges.
